On May 21st, the Criminal Police Department of Ha Giang Provincial Police announced that they have issued a decision to prosecute and detain Tran Trung Hieu (born in 1994, residing in Group 7, Nguyen Trai Ward, Ha Giang City) for 4 months on charges of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" as stipulated in Clause 4, Article 174 of the Penal Code.

According to investigative documents, due to needing money for expenses and debt repayment, Tran Trung Hieu conceived the idea of ​​making illicit money by providing false information.

Hieu impersonated a bank employee, claiming he needed money to help customers refinance their loans with high returns. Exploiting the trust of his clients, Hieu lured and persuaded victims to give him money, promising high returns of 3-17% within 3-10 days per loan refinancing.

Using this scheme, Hieu defrauded many people in the provinces of Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, and Hanoi of over 80 billion VND.

The Investigation Police Department of Ha Giang Provincial Police announces that anyone who is a victim of the above incident should urgently contact the Criminal Police Department of Ha Giang Provincial Police, address: Group 8, Quang Trung Ward, Ha Giang City, to be received and processed according to the law.
