On the journey to nurture his passion , Nguyen Quoc Nguyen Tin (born in 2007, residing in Ward 4, Tan An City, Long An Province) always has his family accompanying and supporting him. In addition to studying, Nguyen Tin spends most of his free time on his special love of music, especially playing the guitar.

Ms. Nguyen Van Thi Nguyet Hien (Nguyen Tin's mother) said: "Since childhood, my son has shown a special love for music. Instead of normal toys, Tin likes to fold paper into a musical instrument and then play the instrument and sing. Realizing that he has talent and sings well, my husband and I decided to create conditions for him to participate in music classes to develop his strengths; at the same time, help him become more confident and bold in communicating and expressing himself."

Ms. Nguyen Van Thi Nguyet Hien (Ward 4, Tan An City) always supports her child in developing his talents.

After 2 years of studying music, Nguyen Tin not only sings well but also plays many musical instruments proficiently, actively participates in cultural activities and leaves an impression on teachers and friends. In 2024, he was honored to represent students of the province to attend an international cultural exchange program in Chungcheongnam province (Korea).

Mrs. Hien said that when her child was given the chance to try, her family supported her and helped her passion grow. “In my free time, I often invite my child to play the piano and sing for the family to listen to. Sometimes, my child plays while I sing. It's so much fun!” Mrs. Hien said.

Not only focusing on developing his talent, his family also focuses on Nguyen Tin's cultural studies. He is working hard to study for the high school graduation exam and pursue Korean language. "The support and encouragement from my parents is a great motivation to help me stay steadfast on the path of studying and art" - Nguyen Tin shared.

Let your children decide their own future

With the desire to explore new lands and develop herself more, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tham (born in 2003, residing in Thuan My commune, Chau Thanh district) chose to go to Aizuwakamastu city of Fukushima province, Japan to do an internship to complete her university program majoring in Japanese Language.

Sharing about his son's wishes, Mr. Nguyen Van Thoi said: "When my daughter said she wanted to do an internship in Japan, my husband and I were worried because she had to go to a strange country alone, but seeing her determination, my husband and I agreed. I thought that she was grown up and could decide for her own future. Only when she studied her favorite major could she develop her full potential. At that time, I told her to take care of herself and always remember that her parents would always be a solid support, accompanying her on the journey ahead."

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tham (Thuan My commune, Chau Thanh district) calls her family every night.

When she first arrived in Japan, Ms. Tham could not help but feel bewildered. However, with her progressive spirit and good adaptability, after only one month, she quickly integrated into the new living environment.

Sharing about her journey, Ms. Tham said: “Although I have only been in Japan for 5 months, this period of time has brought me many valuable experiences. Every day that passes is an opportunity to discover more about the culture, people and lifestyle here. Interacting with international friends not only broadens my perspective but also helps me grow more mature every day. This is the opportunity for me to develop my future career.”

Whenever he misses his daughter, Mr. Thoi calls her to see her, even if it is only through a small screen. Those short calls are always filled with love, he and his wife take turns telling and asking about their daughter. “There are times when I feel very sad but I dare not let my daughter know. I can only say words of encouragement, hoping that she will study with peace of mind and be steadfast in a foreign land,” Mr. Thoi shared.

To satisfy their passion and reach success, many young people have to go through many obstacles. But in the end, the love from their parents is the great motivation to help them confidently and firmly follow their dreams.
