The People's Committee of Nghe An province has organized a meeting to discuss and implement measures to prevent and control epidemics in livestock and poultry. According to a report from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nghe An province, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the whole province has recorded 70 outbreaks of African swine fever in 13 districts, cities and towns. In total, about 1,700 pigs weighing 99,021 kg had to be destroyed to control the epidemic. The localities heavily affected include Yen Thanh, Do Luong, Nghi Loc, Quynh Luu, Anh Son and Thanh Chuong.

Currently, Nghe An still has 53 outbreaks of African swine fever that have not passed 21 days, distributed in 11 districts and cities. In recent months, the number of outbreaks has tended to increase significantly, especially in districts such as Yen Thanh, Do Luong, Anh Son, Nghi Loc and Thanh Chuong. This situation requires stricter control measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
