Latest pig price news
According to a report from the Long An Statistics Office, in May, livestock farming in this province recorded strong growth in poultry flocks, mainly concentrated in large enterprises and farms in Thanh Hoa and Ben Luc.
The pig herd is gradually recovering thanks to the conversion from household farming to a semi-industrial model, linking with businesses, combining the application of biosafety processes, disease prevention and modern technology.
Data from the Long An Statistical Office shows that the total herd of pigs (excluding piglets that have not been weaned) reached 81,347, up 1.02% over the same period last year; the poultry herd reached 11.30 million, up 18.19% (of which 9.86 million chickens, up 25.21%); the buffalo herd was about 4,600, down 6.12%; the cow herd was 106,000, down 5.36%.
