The working delegation was led by Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Head of the Provincial Specialized Committee.
Receiving and working with the delegation were Ms. Keo Sa Vuon - Deputy Governor, Head of the Provincial Task Force of Stung Treng Province and members of the Provincial Task Force.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Keo Sa Vuon expressed her joy at welcoming the delegation of the Gia Lai Provincial Task Force led by Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich to visit and work in Stung Treng province. At the same time, she emphasized: The noble sacrifice of Vietnamese martyrs for the cause of helping the Cambodian people escape the Pol Pot genocide regime is a sacred symbol of the friendship between the two countries. The government and people of Stung Treng province always keep in mind and will continue to closely coordinate with Team K52 (Gia Lai Provincial Military Command) in the search and collection of the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts in the area.
On behalf of the leaders of Gia Lai province, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich sent sincere thanks to the leaders of Stung Treng province for the warm welcome; and at the same time conveyed the Chol Chnam Thmay New Year greetings from Comrade Rah Lan Chung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the Party Committee, government and people of the neighboring province.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich affirmed: With the enthusiastic support of the Specialized Committee and the people of Stung Treng province, during the dry season of 2024-2025, Team K52 searched for and collected 9 martyrs' remains, bringing the total number of remains found in Stung Treng province from 2002 to present to 436 remains.

At the meeting, the two provinces’ Task Forces agreed and signed a regulation on coordinating the organization of the memorial service, farewell ceremony and handover of the remains of nine Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts. Accordingly, the memorial service will take place on the afternoon of May 15, according to Cambodian customs; the farewell ceremony will be held on the morning of May 16, before the remains are brought back to Vietnam for burial.
On this occasion, the delegation of Gia Lai province presented souvenirs to the leaders and members of the Specialized Committee of Stung Treng province to strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the two provinces.
