These are two sketches selected for round 2 out of a total of 5 sketches from 3 authors and groups of authors participating in the contest "Creating sketches of the Tay Son Tam Kiet Monument and Reliefs".
The sketch with code H258 with the theme "Tay Son Thuong Dao Movement" is an art work with a composition of shapes and blocks arranged in the shape of blooming wild sunflowers.
The central part is shaped like a pistil, creating an arch like the sun at dawn. The role of the leader, leading the uprising, is arranged in the front, which is a cluster of round statues of the three Tay Son brothers, clearly showing the will and spirit of each character.
The thick relief layer (core 1), including the left and right wings, depicts the military forces of the Tay Son movement when they marched down to the plains with sketches of patriots riding war horses and soldiers holding long spears, infantry holding swords and shields, and a team of people riding elephants into battle. The characters are indigenous people with strong and battle-hardened appearance.

Next to the first layer of relief are two thin relief wings (second layer of relief) depicting the landscape of mountains and forests, with the communal house and temple roofs looming where new soldiers are being trained to join the insurgents. Next to them are scenes of the Bahnar people playing gongs during festivals.
The monument in the sketch with code H259, theme "Tay Son Tu Nghia", uses realistic methods of shape but the space is general, conventional, and simultaneous.
Accordingly, in the middle are three characters Nguyen Nhac, Nguyen Hue, Nguyen Lu standing straight, eyes looking forward, head held high, simple demeanor but exuding the spirit of brave generals.
Two reliefs depict the large force of the Tay Son insurgents. The monument and the relief are linked horizontally to create the shape of mountain ranges interspersed with trees and historical figures. Next is the vertically linked shape consisting of a block of human statues, red flags, ancient trees, rows of stone gongs, stone gates, etc., forming a unified whole with high aesthetic value, ensuring solemnity and dignity.
