Gia Lai: Collecting opinions on the Draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution

On May 5, 2025, the 15th National Assembly discussed and passed Resolution 194/2025/QH15 with 452 National Assembly deputies voting in favor (100% of the deputies present and 94.56% of the total number of National Assembly deputies).

Accordingly, the National Assembly decided to consider amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to implement the policy of streamlining the organization of the political system, with the scope of amendment focusing on the provisions of the 2013 Constitution on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and the delimitation of administrative units and local government organizations.

The Committee for Drafting Amendments and Supplements to a Number of Articles of the 2013 Constitution, established by the National Assembly under Resolution No. 195/2025/QH15 dated May 5, 2025, has organized the development of a draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam within the scope determined by the National Assembly.

The Draft Resolution consists of 2 articles: Article 1 includes 8 clauses amending and supplementing a number of provisions of the 2013 Constitution on the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, on administrative units and local government organizations; Article 2 includes 3 clauses regulating the effective date and transitional provisions.

At the conference, delegates agreed on the necessity of amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution to create a constitution for implementing the revolution of streamlining the apparatus, building, perfecting, and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the political system.

In line with the policy and orientation on the scope of amendments and supplements to the Constitution approved at the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee, at the conference, delegates gave their opinions on the layout, content and presentation techniques; at the same time, they suggested reviewing the provisions to avoid overlapping with the issued resolutions; amending and supplementing some sentences to make them clear and easy to understand, creating convenience in the implementation process.

Concluding the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee emphasized: All opinions participating in the conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will synthesize fully, accurately, objectively and report to the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front as a basis for completing the draft resolution.
