Gia Lai: After leg tendon surgery, female student had to travel to graduation exam location by ambulance

On June 26, Hoang Anh Gia Lai University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital said that the unit had just dispatched an ambulance to support and pick up PHCA student to the exam site of Mac Dinh Chi High School (Phu Hoa town, Chu Pah district).

Previously, at around 7:45 a.m. on June 25, while traveling on the road, A. unfortunately fell off her electric bike. Immediately after that, A. was taken to the Emergency Department of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai in a state of pain and fear.

After examination, the doctor diagnosed that the female student had a crushed ankle causing a fracture, dislocation and ruptured extensor tendon. This is considered a complex injury that needs to be treated immediately if the leg function is to be restored. The doctors then quickly operated, fixed the joint and connected the tendon for A. After many hours of surgery, A's health was stable.

Sharing about her dream, PHCA said: "My wish is to study at the Faculty of PhysicalEducation at Da Nang University of Education. However, my leg is currently injured, so the aptitude test will be more or less affected. In the immediate future, I will try to complete this exam well."

In order for PHCA to be able to attend the graduation exam this morning (June 26), doctors at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai changed the bandage early in the morning. At the same time, the hospital also mobilized an ambulance to take and pick up student A. to attend the 2025 high school graduation exam, the exam site is Mac Dinh Chi High School (Phu Hoa town, Chu Pah district).

In the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, Gia Lai province has 16,206 candidates eligible to take the exam (15,502 candidates studying in grade 12 and 704 independent candidates), an increase of 968 candidates compared to 2024. In particular, the exam has many new points when it is organized for the first time for students studying the 2018 General Education Program and the 2006 General Education Program to take the exam together.

The Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province mobilized 4,500 managers, teachers, staff and workers to participate in the organization of the exam. For the exam invigilators, the whole province mobilized 1,835 teachers, including 1,642 high school teachers and 193 middle school teachers.

In addition, the Department has also proactively calculated backup plans for more than 100 secondary school teachers in case of need for replacement or supplement, ready to participate in the exam when mobilized; coordinated with the Provincial Police to mobilize more than 320 officers and soldiers; coordinated with the Department of Health to mobilize 44 doctors and nurses to work in the examination council's committees.
