The results of the assessment of higher education institutions according to domestic standards include 200 schools, and according to foreign standards with 17 schools.
The results of the assessment, evaluation and recognition of educational quality standards according to domestic standards, cycle 2 (V2), show that Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy is in the top 10.
Educational institutions are evaluated with average scores in 4 criteria: quality assurance in strategy; quality assurance in system; quality assurance in functional implementation; and performance results.
5/10 universities highly rated for quality criteria are medical schools, including: Hanoi University of Pharmacy, Hanoi Medical University, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
According to the V2 assessment results, Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy achieved an average score of 4.15, equal to Hanoi Medical University, and ranked 9th out of the top 10 schools.
In which, the criteria "System quality assurance" and "Operating results" of the school reached 4.23, the highest level in the country.
This is a vivid measure of the stature and reputation of a training institution that has been developing for nearly 50 years with synchronous investment in facilities, administration, quality assurance systems and efficiency in training, scientific research, etc.
The quality assessment results also show that valuable scientific research works are recognized domestically and internationally. Graduates are solid in their expertise, ready to integrate globally; making practical contributions to society and the community from public health care to knowledge transfer and innovation initiatives.
After nearly 50 years of construction and development, generations of teachers and students of Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy have always promoted the revolutionary tradition, the spirit of studiousness, overcome all difficulties, and achieved encouraging results.
Specifically, the school has trained more than 21,000 doctors, pharmacists, medical bachelors; 31 PhDs, 718 masters, 162 interns, 623 level II specialists, 2,581 level I specialists. Thereby, contributing to the care, protection and improvement of people's health.
Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy has just completed the evaluation of 3 training programs: Pharmacology - Clinical Pharmacy training program; Medical Laboratory Science at master's level; Preventive Medicine at university level. Up to now, the school has completed the external assessment and evaluation of most of the training program standards according to the decision of the Ministry of Education and Training, including many training programs that were first assessed in the group of universities in the health training sector.
Undergraduate and graduate enrollment for the 2025-2026 academic year, featuring 1,589 students and 1,057 trainees enrolled.
The results achieved in recent times show a very high level of unity in the development goals of the School, the spirit of solidarity and unanimity in the Party Committee, the School Council and the School Board, especially the role and commitment to quality assurance of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Khai - Principal of Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy in building and developing the school.
