Regarding rice, the market was quiet during the week, domestic rice prices were relatively stable, and raw rice for export fluctuated slightly. Specifically, domestic rice prices remained stable, while some raw rice for export remained stable at the beginning of the week, fluctuated in opposite directions in the middle of the week, and then remained stable at the end of the week.

According to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province and Vietnamese Rice, currently OM 380 raw rice for export fluctuates at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice fluctuates at 8,700 - 8,900 VND/kg; Soc Det raw rice for export fluctuates at 7,600 - 7,800 VND; IR 504 raw rice for export fluctuates at 7,600 - 7,700 VND/kg; OM 5451 raw rice for export fluctuates at 7,950 - 8,100 VND/kg; CL 555 raw rice for export fluctuates at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg; OM 18 raw rice for export fluctuates at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg compared to the weekend.

Regarding by-products, the price of by-products fluctuates from 7,300 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, OM 5451 broken rice fluctuates at 7,350 - 7,500 VND/kg; bran price fluctuates at 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, buying and selling transactions are absent, rice prices of all kinds remain stable.

At retail markets, the prices of rice of all kinds are the same as at the weekend. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND11,000 - 12,000/kg; Huong Lai rice at VND22,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice at VND21,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice at VND20,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND17,000 - 18,000/kg; common white rice at VND16,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND16,000 - 17,000/kg; Soc Thai rice at VND20,000/kg; Japanese rice at VND22,000/kg.

Similar to rice and paddy, during the week of weak trading, fresh rice prices of all types fluctuated little.

According to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of fresh rice OM 5451 fluctuates between 5,300 - 5,500 VND/kg; the price of fresh rice OM 18 fluctuates between 5,600 - 5,700 VND/kg; the price of fresh rice IR 50404 fluctuates between 5,100 - 5,300 VND/kg; the price of fresh rice Dai Thom 8 fluctuates between 5,600 - 5,700 VND/kg, compared to the weekend.

In many localities today, buying and selling transactions are quiet and prices are stable.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained stable compared to the weekend. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price of 5% broken fragrant rice ranges from 415 to 430 USD/ton; 100% broken rice ranges from 314 to 317 USD/ton; and Jasmine rice ranges from 478 to 482 USD/ton.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the first 10 months of 2025, Vietnam exported 7.2 million tons of rice, earning 3.7 billion USD, a decrease of 6.5% in quantity compared to the same period in 2024 and a decrease of 23.8% in value compared to the same period.

The average export price of rice in the first 10 months of 2025 reached 511 USD/ton, down 18.5% over the same period last year. Among the markets, the Philippines is still the largest consumer market with 41.4% market share, followed by Ghana (12.3%) and Ivory Coast (11.3%).

Compared to the same period in 2024, exports to the Philippines decreased by 27.1%, while Ghana increased by 47.3% and Ivory Coast by 94.5%. Among the 15 largest export markets, Bangladesh increased the most at 155 times, while Malaysia decreased by 53.3%.
