“Vietnam’s coffee prices are currently higher than those of its competitors, causing trading to slow down,” said a trader in Ho Chi Minh City. Rising shipping costs due to concerns about the end of the US tariff suspension are also weighing on exports.

In the Southeast region, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai all recorded decreases of 1,000 to 2,000 VND/kg.
According to experts, the decline in domestic pepper prices last week mainly came from the market's cautious sentiment in the face of risks related to US tax policies, causing businesses and traders to limit signing new orders.
In addition, the pepper purchase price in the coming time will still depend largely on the export speed and the stockpiling trend of processing companies as well as international traders.
