Saigon Newport Corporation launches comprehensive digital transformation

DNVN - Tan Cang Saigon Corporation (TCSG) officially launched a comprehensive digital transformation consulting project with the support of FPT, aiming to rebuild the operating model towards smart, integrated and sustainable direction.

The project affirms the determination of TCSG's leadership in implementing a comprehensive digital transformation strategy, improving operational capacity, expanding the service ecosystem and consolidating its position as the largest and most modern port operator in Vietnam.

After more than 36 years of establishment and development, Tan Cang Saigon Corporation (TCSG) has affirmed its leading role in the field of port exploitation, logistics services and marine economic sectors in Vietnam. Not only holding the number one position in market share and exploitation capacity, TCSG is also a pioneer in building a modern port and logistics ecosystem, standardized according to international practices and aiming for deep integration.

With a technology platform that has been systematically invested in for many years, Tan Cang Saigon Corporation (TCSG) has gradually digitized the port operation process, deployed a smart management system and improved customer experience through digital platforms. Entering a new development phase, with the companionship of FPT , TCSG officially launched a comprehensive digital transformation strategy, aiming to become a model, modern, smart and sustainable port, logistics and maritime transport enterprise.

Launch a comprehensive digital strategy

The launching ceremony of the Digital Transformation Consulting Project took place solemnly at the end of May 2025 at the headquarters of Saigon Newport Corporation. On the side of TCSG, the ceremony was attended by the Board of Directors, the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation and leaders of member units in the system. Representatives of the strategic consulting unit FPT had the participation of the Chairman of FPT Digital - FPT Corporation, a team of senior consultants and members implementing the project.

The launching ceremony of the Digital Transformation Consulting Project between Saigon Newport Corporation and FPT Digital, affirming the commitment to strategic cooperation in the journey of modernization and comprehensive digitalization of the modern logistics ecosystem.

The project is implemented with the goal of building a smart operating platform, comprehensively modernizing core business activities and optimizing the efficiency of operations - services - logistics at TCSG. Accordingly, FPT will begin implementing the consulting project by comprehensively assessing the current state of operations at TCSG based on a multi-dimensional survey of 06 pillars including development strategy, customers, operations, corporate culture, technology infrastructure and data with 139 specific evaluation criteria. This is a fundamental step, helping TCSG not only clearly identify the gap between the current state and the target, but also accurately shape strategic priorities and implementation directions suitable to the characteristics of a multi-industry operating enterprise in the modern logistics ecosystem.

Next, Tan Cang’s digital transformation roadmap from now until 2030 will be built on a list of specific digital initiatives, identifying priorities alongside implementation resources for short, medium and long term implementation. In particular, sustainable development goals will also be integrated into the digital transformation roadmap design, helping TCSG not only improve operational efficiency but also gradually move towards a green port model - an increasingly important requirement of international logistics partners and global supply chains.

Another important content is to improve digital awareness and internal digital capacity. The project will coordinate with departments to train management teams and professional experts in digital thinking, data mining skills and digital platform operations. FPT will also organize in-depth training workshops for core TCSG personnel on digital awareness, port and logistics industry trends, and digital operation skills, in order to build a strong internal team, ensuring successful digitalization implementation. The project also proposes to build a specialized force with a team of internal experts and an effective coordination model, ensuring a sustainable and synchronous digitalization roadmap.

All of the above components are connected according to a unified overall architecture, with a clear implementation roadmap and linked to specific measurement indicators - from mining productivity, business processing time, operating costs to customer satisfaction. This is the basis for TCSG to not only successfully transform digitally but also expand competitiveness, increase long-term value and maintain its pioneering role in the logistics - seaport industry of Vietnam.

Synchronized coordination: Success is a collective responsibility

For successful implementation, the TCSG Digital Transformation Steering Committee requires member units, especially the technology and operations sectors, to closely coordinate with FPT, proactively share existing difficulties and contribute ideas to build digital initiatives. The continuous support from departments will be the decisive factor for the digital transformation roadmap to achieve real effectiveness. The two sides will closely coordinate through a professional working model, including daily exchanges, regular meetings between the project team and the Steering Committee, and regular progress reports. This mechanism ensures that the project is implemented on schedule and achieves high efficiency.
