Emirates opens Danang - Middle East route with 4 flights per week

DNVN - It is expected that from June 2, 5-star airline Emirates will operate flights connecting Dubai - Bangkok - Da Nang, marking an important step in enhancing trade and tourism between the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, flight EK370 will depart from Dubai at 9:00 a.m. (local time), transit in Bangkok and land in Da Nang at 9:50 p.m. (local time). In the opposite direction, flight EK371 will depart from Da Nang at 11:30 p.m., transit in Bangkok and arrive in Dubai at 6:50 a.m. the next morning.

5-star airline Emirates will open flights to Da Nang from June 2, 2025.

5-star airline Emirates uses modern Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with 35 business class seats and 368 economy class seats, serving 4 flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, the city has proactively implemented many synchronous solutions to prepare to welcome international tourists from the Middle East and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries, especially after Emirates airline announced the operation of the Dubai - Bangkok - Da Nang route from June 2, 2025.

Including designing and publishing tourism handbooks providing market information, service instructions and proposing the implementation of new tourism products for Halal tourists; organizing training courses for tourism industry staff on Islamic culture and Middle Eastern tourist service skills; enhancing promotional activities, promoting the development of international tourist markets exploited through new flight routes...

To ensure safety and service quality for new flights, Da Nang International Airport has coordinated with Emirates to survey and upgrade operating areas, deploy an automatic immigration control system (Autogate) and enhance rescue and relief work.

Da Nang delegation led by Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh worked with Emirates airline.

According to statistics, in 2024, the number of visitors from the Middle East market to Da Nang will reach nearly 17,500 (mostly visitors from Israel, Arabia, and Iran). In the first 4 months of 2025, the number of Middle Eastern visitors to Da Nang was more than 13,000, accounting for 0.73% of the structure of international visitors to Da Nang (mostly visitors from Iran, Israel, and Türkiye).

Emirates' opening of a new route to Da Nang not only shortens the journey between the Middle East and the Han River City, but also opens up opportunities for the city to welcome tourists from countries such as the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, as well as European markets connecting via the Dubai transit hub such as the UK, France, Germany, Russia, and Thailand.

“This event is expected to trigger a new wave of tourism from the Middle East and Europe, and at the same time create an important boost to help Da Nang tourism industry make a strong breakthrough, gradually affirming its position as an attractive destination for tourists, aiming to diversify the market and improve the quality of services to welcome international visitors,” emphasized Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang Nguyen Thi Hoai An.
