*According to a joint announcement signed by the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on September 11, after implementing temporary import bans on offal and frozen pork from January 12, the country's livestock production industry has avoided the impact of imported goods from abroad.
The notice emphasized that the import of frozen pig liver, offal and frozen pork has threatened and could cause damage to the pig farming industry.
However, the statement stated that the temporary import ban does not apply to investment projects that are eligible to import the above items as inputs for export production.
Therefore, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries have confirmed to the public and import-export companies that: The Royal Government of Cambodia has decided to continue to extend this import ban for another six months, effective from September 12, 2024 to March 12, 2025.
