There are no new fluctuations in the world pepper price today . Last week, the global pepper market tended to increase with a slight increase in Indonesia, adding up to 2.2% for Vietnam's pepper exports.

The global pepper market is entering a period of prolonged supply decline as world output has fallen by more than 30% in seven years to around 430,000 tonnes, according to the latest report by Nedspice.

Brazil continues to expand its planting area, but key producers such as Vietnam, India and Indonesia all recorded low output, indicating tight supply in key regions. While global demand has weakened this year, the sharpest decline – about 30% – came from the US, the largest import market, causing Vietnam’s pepper exports in the 10 months to fall by 6%.

Nedspice said the US exemption of reciprocal tariffs on non-domestic spices from November 13, 2025, will support demand recovery. Notably, Vietnam is increasingly reliant on imports for re-exports, with imports rising 32% to 38,000 tonnes, with Brazil alone doubling, although inventories are still falling as production and imports fail to keep up with exports.

Pepper price today December 1, 2025 in the country and the world latest

Vietnam’s next crop output is expected to reach just 153,000 tonnes due to adverse weather, continuing the decline in 2025 when production reached just 172,000 tonnes, nearly half the peak period of 2018–2019. Uncertainties over US tariffs, VAT issues and weak demand dragged down domestic pepper prices in mid-year, but selling pressure eased as farmers held onto stocks, waiting for prices to recover.

Internationally, Brazil is forecast to harvest 89,000 tonnes of pepper in 2025 despite a labor shortage, while Indonesia is forecast to harvest around 36,000 tonnes as inventories run low after a strong export season in 2024.

Thus, the world pepper price today, December 1, 2025, remains unchanged compared to yesterday.
