World gold price today 05/07/2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 3,415.44 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 2.39% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,399 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 108.7 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 13.5 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices rose to a two-week high, supported by post-holiday buying from China and concerns about possible U.S. tariffs on pharmaceutical imports, while investors awaited the outcome of the Federal Reserve's policy meeting, Reuters reported.
Spot gold rose 2.4% to $3,413.29 an ounce by 13:56 ET (17:56 GMT), its highest since April 22, when it hit a record high of $3,500.05 an ounce. U.S. gold futures settled up 3% at $3,422.80.
Markets in top consumer China reopened after the Labor Day holiday, which ran from May 1 to 5.
“The bull market is being fueled by China’s latest gold investment surge, coupled with continued moves from central banks to reduce their reliance on US assets, especially the US dollar,” Adrian Ash, director of research at BullionVault, said in a note.
The dollar struggled as investors began to lose patience over expected U.S. trade deals, making greenback-priced gold cheaper for holders of other currencies.
Gold, a safe haven from uncertainty, has hit multiple record highs this year amid concerns about tariff developments. US President Donald Trump said he plans to announce new tariffs on pharmaceutical products within the next two weeks. Earlier on Sunday, Trump announced a 100% tariff on foreign-made films.
“We think there is increased participation from speculators in China,” said Daniel Ghali, commodity strategist at TD Securities. “In the West, we think that while prices are overbought, gold is still significantly under-owned. Both of these factors will support higher gold prices. Prices could trade as high as $4,000 an ounce this year.”
Investors are closely watching the Fed's upcoming policy decision on Wednesday, with remarks from Chairman Jerome Powell expected to provide clues on the potential timing of a rate cut.
Higher interest rates reduce the appeal of gold, which offers no yield.
Spot silver rose 1.9% to $33.10 an ounce, platinum rose about 2.4% to $982.52 and palladium rose 3.1% to $971.27.
