SJC gold bar price up to 107 million VND

The price of SJC gold bars increased rapidly this morning, reaching a new peak of 107 million VND, 1-2 million VND higher than plain rings.

On the morning of April 14, Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed the price of gold bars at 104.5 - 107 million VND, an increase of 1.5 million VND for buying and 500,000 VND for selling compared to the weekend. The difference between buying and selling prices was narrowed to 2.5 million VND per tael. This is a record price for gold bars ever.

Gold price   This morning, the price of SJC gold bars increased by a much higher amplitude, while the price of plain rings only changed by a few hundred thousand dong per tael. Accordingly, this morning, SJC gold bars were 1-2 million dong higher per tael than plain rings.

SJC listed the price of plain rings at 101.8 - 104.8 million VND per tael, a slight decrease of 100,000 VND in buying price and an increase of 400,000 VND in selling price compared to the weekend. Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ) listed plain rings at 101.8 - 105 million VND. At Bao Tin Minh Chau, plain rings are listed at 102.1 - 105.6 million VND.

In the international market, spot gold prices hovered around the peak. At 9:30 a.m. Hanoi time, the world gold price remained at 3,235 USD per ounce, converted according to Vietcombank's selling rate, equivalent to 101.3 million VND per tael. The difference between domestic and world gold prices fluctuated from 3.5 to 5.5 million VND per tael.

Wall Street experts and retail investors surveyed by Kitco believe the turmoil is not over yet, and expect gold prices to continue rising this week and head toward $3,300 an ounce. The turmoil in global financial markets has pushed gold prices to a new record high. The precious metal is believed to have room to rise further as the list of safe-haven assets is shrinking.
