The price of gold rings today (December 16) at many brands continued to decline rapidly since last weekend. After 3 days, the price of gold rings at some brands "evaporated" nearly 2 million VND per tael in the buying direction.
Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) continued to adjust the price of gold rings down today. The price of gold rings of type 1-5 was listed by SJC at 82.6-84.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 700 thousand VND/tael for buying and down 400 thousand VND/tael for selling compared to the closing price of the trading session last weekend.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company also adjusted the price of Thang Long dragon gold rings down by 350 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling prices compared to the closing price last week, to 83.33-85.08 million VND/tael.
Meanwhile, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ) this morning lowered the price of plain gold rings to 83.4-84.4 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 100,000 VND per tael for buying and down 300,000 VND for selling compared to the end of last week.
But this afternoon, PNJ raised the price of plain gold rings to 83.6-84.7 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 100 thousand VND per tael in the buying direction, while the selling price was the same as last week's closing price.
Similarly, Doji Gold and Gemstone Group this morning lowered the price of 9999 gold rings to 83.35-84.45 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 150 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to the closing price last week.
However, this afternoon, Doji raised the price of 9999 gold rings to 83.6-84.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Compared to the closing price last week, the price of 9999 gold rings at Doji this afternoon increased by 100 thousand VND/tael in the buying direction, while the selling direction was the same.
The domestic gold ring price has been on a downward trend since the trading session last Friday (December 13). In this session, the gold ring price at SJC decreased by 700,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions, while the gold ring price at Doji decreased by 1 million VND/tael in both directions.
By the end of last week's trading session (December 14), the price of gold rings at SJC decreased by 500,000 VND/tael, the price of gold rings at Doji decreased by 300,000 VND/tael in both directions.
Thus, in just the last 3 trading sessions, the price of gold rings at SJC has decreased by 1.9 million VND per tael for buying and 1.6 million VND per tael for selling. Meanwhile, the price of gold rings at Doji has decreased by 1.2 million VND per tael for buying and 1.3 million VND per tael for selling.
Other gold ring brands also saw a decrease of approximately 1 million VND per tael in the past 3 days.

In the same trend, the price of gold bars was also adjusted down.
Today, the price of SJC gold bars decreased by 1.2 million VND/tael for buying and 1.7 million VND/tael for selling compared to the end of last week's trading session, to 82.6-85.1 million VND/tael (buying - selling).
In total, in the last 3 sessions, the price of SJC gold bars has decreased by 2 million VND/tael in both directions.
