SJC gold price increases sharply, far surpassing gold ring price

Saigon Jewelry Company listed the price of SJC gold bars at 118.5 - 121 million VND/tael for buying and selling, an increase of 1.7 million VND/tael compared to yesterday morning.

Other gold trading businesses also sharply increased the price of SJC gold bars to 121 million VND/tael.

Meanwhile, the price of gold rings only increased slightly, causing the gap between the price of gold bars and gold rings to widen.

Specifically, Phu Quy Gold and Gemstone Group listed the price of gold rings at 112.5 - 115.5 million VND/tael for buying and selling, an increase of half a million VND/tael compared to yesterday morning.

The price of SJC gold bars and the price of gold rings have a big difference.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited listed the price of gold rings at 114.5 - 117.5 million VND/tael, an increase of 700,000 VND/tael.

Thus, the price of gold rings is 3.5 - 5.5 million VND/tael lower than the price of gold bars, depending on the brand. Previously, since the beginning of the year, the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings were always equal, and at times, gold bars were even lower.

However, recently, after the domestic gold price widened the gap with the world gold price, the price of gold bars also left the price of gold rings far behind.

At the same time, the world gold price was listed at 3,321 USD/ounce, up 30 USD/ounce compared to yesterday morning.

In the currency market, this morning the State Bank listed the central exchange rate at 24,962 VND/USD, down 6 VND compared to yesterday morning.

Bank USD price is around 25,750 - 26,140 VND/USD for buying and selling.

In the free market, the USD price decreased by 20 VND in both directions to around 26,320 - 26,430 VND/USD.
