In this morning's session, the price of SJC gold bars increased from 700,000-800,000 VND/tael following the increase in world gold prices. The central exchange rate at commercial banks also increased slightly.

After a sharp decrease in yesterday morning's session, at the opening of this morning's session (May 31), the price of SJC gold bars reversed and increased sharply by about 800,000 VND/tael, while the central exchange rate also continued to increase slightly.
At 9:00 a.m., Doji Hanoi Company and Doji Ho Chi Minh City Company announced the buying price of SJC gold at VND85.75 million/tael and the selling price at VND88.3 million/tael, an increase of VND800,000/tael compared to the previous closing price.
Similarly, Phu Quy Gold and Silver Company also increased by 700,000 VND/tael, currently this business is trading around 85.5-88.1 million VND/tael.
On the contrary, the SJC gold price of Saigon Jewelry Company is listed at 85.8-88.8 million VND/tael, unchanged from the previous session's close, but it is the enterprise with the highest selling price and also the unit with the highest difference, up to 3 million VND.
Currently, the difference between buying and selling prices is still kept high by businesses, from 2 to 3 million VND/tael, continuing to push risks onto gold buyers.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company listed the price of Rong Thang Long gold at 74.83-76.23 million VND/tael (buy/sell), an increase of 150,000 VND/tael.
Previously, the State Bank said it would sell gold directly to four State-owned commercial banks (Vietcombank, VietinBank, BIDV, Agribank ) so that these banks could sell gold directly to the people, starting from June 3. The goal is to soon narrow the gap between domestic and international gold prices to a suitable and sustainable level.
Currently, the above commercial banks are urgently completing licenses as well as preparing gold selling locations to officially sell gold to people from the beginning of next week.
In the world, the price of gold fluctuated around 2,345 USD/ounce, up 11 USD compared to the same time last session. This price when converted is equivalent to 72 million VND/tael, about 16.8 million VND lower than SJC gold.
This morning, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate at 24,261 VND/USD, up 3 VND compared to the previous session.
With a margin of +/-5%, Vietcombank listed from 25,224-25,474 VND/USD (buy/sell), up 4 VND compared to the previous closing price.
Similarly, Eximbank also adjusted up 5 VND, currently this bank is trading around 25,230-25,473 VND/USD.
BIDV and VietinBank announced the buying price at 25,242 VND/USD and the selling price at 25,470 VND/USD, unchanged from the previous session./.
