Gold prices increased simultaneously at noon on April 26

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company listed the price of gold bars and gold rings at 117 - 120 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 500 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to the closing price yesterday.

Saigon Jewelry Company SJC, DOJI Group listed the price of gold bars at 119 - 121 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 500 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to the closing price yesterday.

Gold prices in Asia fell more than 1% on April 25 after news that China is considering exempting certain US goods from import tariffs, a development that undermined the appeal of the precious metal as a safe-haven asset.

At around 1:36 p.m. Vietnam time, spot gold fell 1.4% to $3,302.81 an ounce. US gold futures also fell 1.1% to $3,312.80 an ounce.

Gold has gained nearly $700 this year, breaking records. It hit a high of $3,500.05 an ounce on April 22.

A 0.3% rise in the U.S. dollar index also weighed on gold prices. A stronger dollar makes gold more expensive for buyers holding other currencies.

In other precious metals markets, spot silver fell 0.6% to $33.37 an ounce, platinum fell 0.9% to $961.85 an ounce and palladium fell 1.7% to $937.93 an ounce.
