The price of RON 95 gasoline has dropped below 19,000 VND/liter on the afternoon of April 17.

This is the fourth consecutive time that gasoline prices have decreased; in which the price of RON 95 gasoline has fallen below 19,000 VND/liter.

Specifically, compared to the previous adjustment period, the price of RON 95 gasoline (a popular type on the market) today decreased by 350 VND/liter, the retail price is 18,850 VND/liter. The price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 390 VND/liter, the retail price is down to 18,490 VND/liter.

Similar to previous management periods, the joint Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance continues not to use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund in today's management period.

According to Circular 18 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, from May 2, the mechanism for managing gasoline prices will change. Accordingly, there will no longer be an interdisciplinary group of Finance - Industry and Trade as at present. Instead, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will directly announce the base price and selling price of gasoline products, based on input data and management opinions of the Ministry of Finance .
