Gasoline prices continue to fall, RON 95 down to below 19,000 VND/liter

From 3:00 p.m. today (April 17), petroleum businesses will simultaneously adjust retail prices of petroleum products, under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance.

In this adjustment period, prices of petroleum products (except fuel oil) continue to be adjusted downward.

Specifically, compared to the previous adjustment period, the price of RON 95 gasoline (the popular type on the market) today decreased by 350 VND/liter, the retail price is 18,850 VND/liter.

E5 RON 92 gasoline price decreased by 390 VND/liter, retail price down to 18,490 VND/liter.

Similarly, diesel price decreased by 210 VND/liter, retail price to 17,030 VND/liter.

Similar to previous management periods, the joint Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance continues not to use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund in today's management period.

In the most recent adjustment period (April 10), gasoline prices were adjusted down sharply, to the lowest level in nearly 4 years.

The price of RON 95 gasoline decreased by 1,710 VND/liter, the retail price is 19,200 VND/liter. The price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 1,490 VND/liter, the selling price is 18,880 VND/liter.

Diesel price decreased by 1,230 VND/liter, retail price is 17,780 VND/liter.

According to Circular 18 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, from May 2, the mechanism for regulating gasoline prices will change.

Accordingly, there will no longer be a joint Finance - Industry and Trade group as at present. Instead, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will directly announce the base price and selling price of petroleum products, based on input data and written management opinions of the Ministry of Finance .
