According to the report, by the end of the first quarter of 2025, Quang Nam had disbursed more than VND 1,700 billion, equivalent to nearly 60% of the plan. It is expected that by the end of phase I, the total disbursement will reach about VND 2,640 billion, equivalent to 93% of the capital plan, of which 100% of the loan capital has been disbursed.
Through assessment, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in the province achieved many outstanding results. Specifically, the poverty rate in ethnic minority areas decreased by an average of 9%/year, far exceeding the set target (over 3%).
The average income of ethnic minorities by 2024 will reach 30 million VND/year, an increase of more than 2.1 times compared to 2020. Target groups oneducation , health, vocational training, cultural preservation... will all complete and exceed the plan.
However, the program implementation process still has some unachieved goals, including: the rate of communes and villages out of the category of special difficulties and the work of settling down, resolving the shortage of residential land and production land.
To effectively implement the next phase (2026 - 2030), the People's Committee of Quang Nam province proposed a capital demand of more than VND 4,116 billion, of which the Central Government requested to support nearly VND 3,580 billion, the rest is local counterpart capital.
