Accordingly, the Management Board of Ly Son Marine Reserve and a volunteer group released 35 egg-bearing king crabs, with a total weight of 8.1 kg, into the ecological restoration area.

These crabs will contribute to enriching the life source for our homeland's sea and islands, a practical action that directly protects the future of the ocean.

King crabs are known as the “treasure” of Ly Son, not only famous for their high economic value but also for their key ecological role. Releasing egg-bearing individuals is of great significance in regenerating resources, preserving precious genetic resources, and moving towards a “sustainable ocean”.
This is an activity in response to World Oceans Day (June 8) and Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2025.
