Body of missing captain found in Ca Mau waters

On June 5, information from the People's Committee of Khanh Tien Commune (U Minh District, Ca Mau Province) said that the rescue team, in coordination with fishermen, found the body of captain HVD. (born in 1968, residing in Khanh Tien Commune, owner and captain of fishing boat CM-05908-TS).

Previously, on June 3, due to the impact of thunderstorms and tornadoes, fishing boat CM-05908-TS was sunk about 1 nautical mile west of Lung Ranh estuary, and Mr. HVĐ. went missing. At 3:00 a.m. on June 5, Mr. HVĐ.'s body was found drifting at sea in Khanh Binh Tay Bac commune, Tran Van Thoi district.

As reported by SGGP Newspaper, on June 3, due to the impact of thunderstorms and tornadoes, 6 houses in U Minh district completely collapsed; 12 houses had their roofs blown off; 2 fishing boats sank (of which, Mr. HVĐ. went missing).

After the disaster, the People's Committee of U Minh district and the district's branches and organizations visited and supported households whose houses collapsed with 3 million VND, and households whose roofs were completely blown away with 2 million VND, from the district's social security fund.

The leaders of U Minh district requested the local government to pay attention to mobilizing more resources to promptly support families to quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize their lives. The commune grasps the situation and reports to the district to have timely support measures, helping people overcome the consequences as soon as possible.
