At the workshop, the research team presented an overview of the current state of school violence. Through a survey of 400 students, 400 parents and 380 teachers, it was found that 61% of students had experienced at least one form of violence within 12 months, a significantly higher rate than many national and international statistics. Common forms of violence include: verbal violence (52.5%), social violence (37.3%), physical violence (33.5%) and electronic violence (23%). This is identified as a serious problem, with a tendency to spread and become more complex in the secondary school environment.

Thereby, the research team proposed solutions for four main groups as follows: students - teachers and schools - families - communities. The solutions emphasize enhancing life skills, behavioral skills and self-defense in cyberspace for students; innovating management methods in schools; improving teachers' identification and support capacity; promoting coordination between families and schools and promoting communication, building a healthy social environment.

The research team also proposed building a three-tier intervention model including: universal prevention, early detection and intervention, and intensive intervention, aiming to create a comprehensive student protection network, shifting the focus from "dealing with consequences" to "proactive prevention".

Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Le Luong Thinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Phong City, acknowledged the efforts of the research team and emphasized the urgency of synchronously implementing solutions. The research results are an important basis for the education sector and related units to continue to improve policies, gradually building a safe and humane school environment.

The workshop also provided time for delegates to discuss, debate and contribute ideas to complete the report, preparing for the next step of building a detailed model and implementation guidance documents at secondary schools in the province.
