National Youth Tennis Tournament 2025 attracts more than 400 athletes

The 2025 National Youth Tennis Tournament has officially kicked off at the Binh Duong New City Tennis Center Complex. The youth tournament brings together more than 400 young tennis players from 17 provinces, cities and sectors nationwide to compete until May 31, 2025.

This is an annual tournament within the national competition system, organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports & Tourism of Binh Duong province and the sponsor.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Tennis Federation, said at the opening ceremony: "The National Youth Tennis Tournament is an essential playground for young tennis players to accumulate practical competition experience, national rankings, and is also an important basis for evaluating and selecting players for national youth teams heading to regional and international arenas."

Representatives of 17 provinces, cities and sectors participated in the youth tournament.

This year's tournament brings together delegations from units with strong youth tennis movements such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Army, Binh Duong, Hanoi , Da Nang, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Ha Nam, Hieu Trung Club, AP Sports Club, Lam Dong, Vinh Phuc, Lao Cai, Thanh Cong Club - Dak Lak, Kien Giang, Bac Giang, Son La...

The tournament attracted the participation of potential tennis players competing in 28 events in the age groups U8 - U18: men's and women's singles; after the age group U8 - U18: men's and women's doubles; four age groups U12 - U18: mixed men's and women's doubles; four age groups U12 - U18: men's and women's singles U14 - Consulation and men's and women's singles U16 - Consulation.

Promising young players participating in the tournament and having won high rankings in national and international youth tournaments, promise to create attractive matches with high professional quality. The matches will take place on a national standard field system, following the VTF competition format, ensuring fairness, professionalism and creating good opportunities for young athletes to compete and gain experience.

With experience in organizing many major tournaments and increasingly improved facilities, Binh Duong continues to affirm its role as one of the most dynamically developing youth tennis centers in the Southern region.
