The tournament will feature the continent's leading clubs, such as Hisamitsu Springs (Japan), Liaoning Donghua (China), Diamond Food Fine Chef Sport Club ( Thailand ), King Whale Taipei (Taiwan-China), Paykan (Iran), Altay (Kazakhstan), Khuvsgul Erchim (Mongolia), Hip Hing VC (Hong Kong-China). The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will participate in the tournament under the name: Sport Center I. According to the format, 9 teams are divided into 2 groups, competing in a round-robin to calculate points. Based on the results of the group stage, the teams will compete for positions 1 to 4 and 5 to 9. The winning team will represent Asia at the 2023 World Club Volleyball Championship.

Evaluating the 2023 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship, Mr. Tran Duc Phan, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, said: "We assigned the team the task of performing their best professional skills to restore the image of Vietnamese women's volleyball in the international arena. The tournament has opponents with higher, equal and lower professional levels than us. However, competing for a high ranking in the tournament with the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is not feasible. This is an opportunity to rub shoulders and test useful personnel for the team to prepare for the 32nd SEA Games."

Sharing about the goal of SEA Games 32, Mr. Tran Duc Phan commented: "The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is expected to face many difficulties at the tournament. Opponents Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand are all having very good professional preparation. Our goal at SEA Games 32 is to successfully defend the silver medal."

According to the registration, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will participate in the 2023 Asian Club Volleyball Championship with 17 players. The team is currently training in Ninh Binh and is expected to move to Vinh Phuc on April 20. Head coach of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team Nguyen Tuan Kiet said: "The tournament in Vinh Phuc is an opportunity for the players to show themselves and for the coaching staff to carry out professional plans. After the tournament, the personnel decisions for the 32nd SEA Games will be officially made."

In addition to providing professional support to the team, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation is also actively working with Vinh Phuc province to prepare facilities for the tournament. Mr. Bui Hong Do, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc province, said: "Vinh Phuc Stadium has a capacity of 3,000 seats, and has just been renovated and upgraded to host the 31st SEA Games. Currently, we are purchasing volleyball mats, nets, and scoreboards that meet European standards. The organizing committee also worked with hotels in the area and received a commitment to reduce room rates by 50% on this occasion. The tournament mainly issues invitations, with a number of tickets sold at prices ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 VND/ticket".

On April 11, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation held a ceremony to announce the sponsors and introduce the 2023 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship. Accordingly, Vietnam Cable Television is a comprehensive partner, the cup's name sponsor; Dai Nam University is the main sponsor.
