After nearly half a year of exciting competition, the Final Round of the Ho Chi Minh City School Football Festival for primary school students in the 2024-2025 school year officially ended on May 23 at Tao Dan Stadium, District 1, marking a completely successful season in both scale and professional quality.
Deployed in 262 primary schools, the School Football program continues to demonstrate its strong appeal and positive influence on students' physical and mental health. From December 2024 to March 2025, the qualifying round was held in 22 districts and Thu Duc City, gathering 602 teams from 257 schools.
This year’s finals took place from May 19 to 23, with 204 teams and 3,060 young athletes participating. The matches were divided into two categories: boys and mixed. Many individuals and teams demonstrated outstanding talent and an impressive spirit of fair play.
Results: Grade 3 boys : Bong Sao School (District 8) won the championship; Grade 3 mixed class : Quoi Xuan (District 12) came first; Grade 4 boys : Tan Kien (Binh Chanh district) was crowned; Grade 4 mixed class : Truong Dinh School (District 12) took the top spot; Grade 5 boys : Le Van Tho School (District 12) won the championship; Grade 5 mixed class : Phu Dong (Binh Tan district) affirmed its position.
Not only is it a sports playground, the program also contributes to training life skills, solidarity and community awareness for students. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for physical education teachers to improve their professional qualifications, gradually building a core force for a sustainable school football movement.
After 12 years of organization, the School Football Festival has increasingly affirmed its role as a large-scale, professional and inspiring extracurricular activity in the primaryeducation environment. With the support of the education and sports sectors and the support of parents, the program is expected to continue to spread more strongly in the coming years.
