Ms. Natella Svistunova, Cultural Attaché of the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the connection between the two countries is a solid foundation for educational development.

According to Ms. Natella, about 30,000 Vietnamese students are studying in the US. This number has helped Vietnam rank 6th globally and 1st in Southeast Asia in terms of the number of students studying in the US.

Having joint training programs between Vietnam and the US plays an important role in promoting sustainable development, creating global citizens with solid knowledge and character. These programs not only equip students with professional knowledge but also train soft skills, critical thinking and creativity.

MSc. Nguyen Phuong Thao, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Training - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Hutech), said that international training cooperation programs bring many benefits, especially cost savings (about 70% reduction compared to studying abroad). In recent years, this program has attracted the attention of many parents and students.

"For the international training joint program at Hutech, students can choose to study for 4 years in Vietnam or transfer to study abroad in the final year. All students studying the joint program receive a diploma issued by an international university. This flexibility helps students feel confident about their independence, have stable family finances, and improve their English skills before transferring to study abroad" - Ms. Thao informed.
