The Vietnam U19 women's team had an open training session on the morning of May 23 at Thanh Long Sports Center (HCMC). On the 12th day of the team's training session, the number of players still only reached 28/30 athletes.
The training session took place with excitement and joy for the girls to prepare for the 2025 AFF Women's U19 Cup. The tournament will take place at three stadiums: Thong Nhat Stadium, District 8 Stadium and Phu Tho Stadium. On the training ground this morning, many faces stood out from their teammates.
Goalkeeper Le Thi Thu ( Ha Nam ) with her beautiful figure and face stands out among the three goalkeepers on the field.
Besides Thi Thu, two young strikers Le Thi Trang (Hanoi Sports Training Center - left) and Do Thi Thuy Nga (2008, Thai Nguyen Sports Training Center) are also no less outstanding than their teammates.
In particular, when mentioning U19 women's Vietnam, we cannot forget Le Hong Yeu (2007, Ha Nam Sports Center).
In this training session, the Vietnamese U19 female "pink balls" were given exercises to get used to the ball and practice group marking.
In this tournament, coach Okiyama Masahiko will lead this youth team and will have his debut in a strategic tournament. The Japanese strategist was assigned to lead the U17 and U19 Vietnamese women's teams. Previously, the U17 Vietnamese women's team under his command won 2-1 against Thailand in a friendly match in March.
The team will train until June 6 and start playing their first match on June 9. The opponents of the U19 women's team in Group A are Myanmar, Laos and Timor Leste. Meanwhile, Group B includes Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia and Malaysia.
