SMBC Vietnam Prosperity Bank Finance Company Limited (FE Credit) has just announced the decision of the Board of Members on changing a number of senior leadership positions at the company.
Specifically, from April 30, Mr. Kalidas Ghose will officially resign from the position of General Director and move to a new role as senior advisor to the Board of Members of FE Credit, advising the Board of Members on strategic planning activities and developing the consumer finance market in the near future.
Accordingly, the Board of Members also appointed Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet as Acting General Director of FE Credit from May 4. Ms. Nguyet is a member of the Executive Board of Vietnam Prosperity Bank ( VPBank , HoSE: VPB), holding the position of Director of Operations.
Ms. Nguyet joined VPBank in 2014 and held many important positions.

In addition to her time working at VPBank, Ms. Nguyet has 17 years of experience at a large international financial institution, ANZ Bank, with management positions in the fields of Finance, Operational Risk Management, Project Management, Operations, Internal Audit, etc.
At the recent 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of VPBank, General Director Nguyen Duc Vinh commented that in 2023, difficulties for FE Credit will still exist, and the Board of Directors has approved the restructuring plan of FE Credit.
“Although the consumer finance sector is facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the economic crisis, it is still a very potential market as more than 60% of people cannot access bank loans,” he said.
Mr. Vinh also revealed that FE Credit continued to lose money in the first quarter of 2023 but did not announce specific figures. In 2022, the company lost VND 2,376 billion after tax, while in 2021 it made a profit of VND 312.67 billion .
