Information from the VinFuture Prize Council on April 13 said: Professor Dutta, Dean of the Saïd School of Business at the University of Oxford, UK; former Founding Dean of the Cornell SC Johnson Business School - Cornell University, USA (born in India) received a PhD in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of California-Berkeley, USA. Professor Dutta's research focuses on how to drive innovation and business growth, through the right combination of people and technology.
He is the founder and co-editor of the 16 annual reports of the Global Innovation Index published in conjunction with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Professor Dutta is also co-editor of the 15th annual Global Information Technology Report for the World Economic Forum (WEF) on the impact of information technology on national development and competitiveness. He is a former Co-Chair of the WEF Global Future Council on Innovation Ecosystems.
Sharing his feelings about taking on the new role, Professor Dutta said: “I am honored to be part of the VinFuture Prize Council – which brings together the world’s leading experts from many fields. I will exchange and share my opinions, based on my strengths in interdisciplinary background, combining knowledge and experience in the fields of social sciences, technology and business, to support the judging and selection of worthy Prize Winners. Like other Council members, I have a global perspective in important fields and I am committed to actively contributing to the selection and decision-making to honor the most deserving pioneering innovators - those who will shape the future of humanity.”

According to the VinFuture Foundation, the nomination period for the VinFuture Prize Season 3 will end at 14:00 on May 15, 2023. The second and final webinar in 2023 to provide information to nominating partners will take place on April 18, 2023.
