Hanoi: 3 people escaped, 2 people died in the fire at dawn

Immediately after receiving the news, the unit immediately mobilized 6 fire trucks and 40 officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police to quickly arrive at the scene, coordinating with local authorities and people to organize fire fighting.

At this time, the fire engulfed the entire 2-storey house with an attic. Residents and Trung Liet Ward Police used portable fire extinguishers at the public fire station to initially handle the situation. Three family members escaped by themselves through the emergency exit on the 2nd floor and the top floor and were helped to the ground safely by the surrounding residents. However, there were still people trapped in the fire.

Although the fire fighting conditions were unfavorable, the house was located in an alley, the Fire Police and Rescue Force quickly approached the house that was burning fiercely. By 3:05 a.m., the fire was basically under control.

In recent times, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force has regularly disseminated and instructed people on fire prevention and fighting skills and opened emergency exits. In this fire, if there had been no emergency exit, the consequences could have been more severe.

City police recommend that people proactively equip themselves with initial fire fighting equipment, install early fire alarm systems and especially open emergency exits to ensure safety in case of fire.
