Nha Trang requires clarification of personal responsibility in Loc Tho ward

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa Province) requested the People's Committee of Loc Tho Ward to organize a review to clarify the responsibilities of individuals involved in violations according to the conclusion of the accusation of the case of "abandoning people's property when forcibly evicting to the landfill".

On May 16, Mr. To Van Huynh (residing in Nha Trang City) said that he had received the conclusion of the Nha Trang City People's Committee concluding the content of the denunciation against the People's Committee of Loc Tho Ward, surrounding the case of forced eviction of the hotel project built beyond the floors on Nguyen Thien Thuat Street, owned by him.

In conclusion, the Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee said that the content of the accusation against Loc Tho Ward People's Committee was partly correct, specifically: Demolition of the Alu rolling door part at the ramp down to the basement and 1 camera outside the violation area; Return of assets not guaranteed on time according to the direction of the City People's Committee; Lack of supervision and inspection for the construction unit to gather scrap formed during the demolition process not in accordance with the approved plan.

The conclusion clearly stated the responsibilities of individuals and organizations for the violations, including Chairman of Loc Tho Ward People's Committee Le Minh Thuy; Thanh Binh Construction Service Development Company Limited - the construction unit; Khanh Hoa Construction Consulting and Management Company Limited - the consulting and supervising unit.

Accordingly, Nha Trang City People's Committee requested Loc Tho Ward People's Committee to organize a review to clarify the responsibilities of individuals related to the violations according to the above conclusion and propose a form of handling (if any); Carry out the storage and preservation of assets that are not subject to enforcement of violators according to regulations; Work with the construction unit to request the collection and handover of assets and items (if any) in accordance with the approved demolition plan.

Nha Trang City People's Committee assigned the City's Economic , Infrastructure and Urban Affairs Department to coordinate with Loc Tho Ward People's Committee and related units to guide the Ward People's Committee to resolve problems related to construction enforcement work; Assigned the City's Internal Affairs Department to guide Loc Tho Ward People's Committee to organize a review and advise the City People's Committee to handle responsibilities for related collectives and individuals (if any).

As reported by SGGP Newspaper, in July 2024, the People's Committee of Loc Tho Ward presided over the enforcement of the hotel project on Nguyen Thien Thuat Street. Mr. To Van Huynh later filed a complaint accusing the People's Committee of the ward of presiding over the enforcement against regulations with many contents.

Including the unauthorized sale of scrap iron and steel, fire protection systems, air conditioning copper pipe systems... equivalent to 70 tons with a value of nearly 700 million VND, which are Mr. Huynh's assets. Although the construction unit said it was taking the scrap iron to the landfill, Mr. To Van Huynh provided images and clips proving that the scrap iron was sold by the construction unit at scrap facilities.
