The 6th De Men Children's Award - honoring musician Pham Tuyen

Musician Pham Tuyen (born in 1930) is one of the great names in modern Vietnamese music . In his massive composing career spanning more than half a century, he has left a deep mark in many genres, especially prominent with songs for children. With a pure, memorable musical style, close to the lives and souls of children, his songs such as: The Star Lamp, The Swallow of Childhood, My School is a Kindergarten, The Little Elephant in Ban Don, Tien Len Doan Vien ... have become classic children's songs of Vietnamese music, living forever in the memories of many generations of Vietnamese children. During his career, musician Pham Tuyen has written over 200 songs for children, a record number that few musicians can match.

Speaking at the award ceremony, General Director of Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Vu Viet Trang emphasized that the award is not only an artistic playground but also a place to foster children's imagination, compassion and dreams; and expressed his emotion at the enthusiastic response of the authors, from veteran writers to young talents, the creative "Knights of Crickets". The General Director of VNA hopes that the honored works will accompany children throughout their childhood journey, contributing to promoting literary and artistic creation for children and building a comprehensive and humane generation of young Vietnamese people.

Awarding the Cricket Aspiration Award to young artist Pham Hai Nguyen (13 years old)

In this year's season, the organizing committee awarded 5 Cricket Aspiration Awards to outstanding works in many different genres. The honored works include a series of paintings by child artist Pham Hai Nguyen (13 years old); the manuscript of the poetry collection "There is a flat Earth in your eyes" by author Ly Thang Long; the story "The ancient book of a goddess" by author Nguyen Hoang Dieu Thuy, Kim Dong Publishing House...

The De Men Children's Award was founded and organized annually by the Sports and Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency) since 2020 to seek and honor works "by children" or "for children" with the participation of many artists and young talents across the country.
