Police women make important contributions to the national women's movement

(PLVN) - The President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union acknowledged that women in the People's Public Security are an important part with many contributions to the work of the Union, the national women's movement, and the progress and equality of women and children in society.

On May 29, the Women's Union of the Ministry of Public Security organized the Festival of Outstanding Women of the People's Public Security Force (CAND) and the Closing Ceremony and Awarding Ceremony of the Photo Contest "Charming Women of the CAND" in 2025.

Attending the program were Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) Nguyen Thi Tuyen; Major General Ngo Hoai Thu, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work, Head of the Women's Committee of the Public Security Forces, along with 20 collectives and 80 individuals who excelled in implementing the emulation movement of the Women's Public Security Forces in the period 2020 - 2025 and 80 individuals who won prizes in the online photo contest "Charming Women of the Public Security Forces"...

The program was held on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the birth of the great President Ho Chi Minh , and towards the 77th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2025). This is a special occasion to express deep gratitude and worthy honor for the silent but extremely great contributions of female police officers - who not only excellently complete their professional tasks but also maintain their beauty, grace and optimistic spirit, love life, spreading the beautiful and graceful image of female police officers in performing their duties and in life. Moreover, it is also a strong affirmation of the role, bravery, intelligence and dedication of female officers in the police force.

At the program, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen and Major General Ngo Hoai Thu presented awards to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2020-2025 period.

Speaking at the program, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen highly appreciated the results and achievements of the Women's Union at all levels of the People's Public Security Forces over the past 5 years. At the same time, she emphasized that women in the People's Public Security Forces are an important part with many contributions to the work of the Union, the national women's movement and the progress and equality of women and children in society.

To continue affirming and enhancing the core role of the Women's Union in the People's Public Security Forces, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen suggested that the Women's Union at all levels continue to promote and innovate the content and methods of implementing patriotic emulation movements, closely linked to the implementation of political tasks. Focus on effectively implementing the 2025 working theme "Women of the Ministry of Public Security take the lead in participating in Party building, building a strong, disciplined, elite, modern People's Public Security Force, contributing to protecting national security in the new era".

In addition, continue to promote strengths in social security activities, major programs "Accompanying women in the border areas" and "Godmother", "eliminating temporary houses and dilapidated houses"... so that the entire Public Security force and society can spread the message of compassion, sharing, and the belief of "leaving no one behind". Advise on organizing well the coordinated activities between the Central Committee of the Association and the Ministry of Public Security on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Public Security Traditional Day, the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection, and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union.

The online photo contest “Charming Women of the People's Public Security” was launched by the Ministry of Public Security at the end of February 2025 as part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025). After 3 months of implementation, the Contest has attracted the attention of many cadres and members of the Women's Union at all levels in the People's Public Security Forces. Each photo is not only a work of art but also a story, an impression, a pride in the People's Public Security Forces' Women in life and mission.

The Organizing Committee awarded 15 First Prizes; 20 Second Prizes; 25 Third Prizes; 20 Encouragement Prizes to the authors.
