Quang Ngai opens thematic exhibition of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press - A century of fighting

NDO - On the morning of May 30, the Quang Ngai Provincial Journalists Association in collaboration with the Vietnam Journalists Association Press Museum organized the opening of the exhibition "Vietnam's Revolutionary Press - A Century of Battle and Outstanding Achievements of Quang Ngai Provincial Press".

This is a practical activity of the Quang Ngai Provincial Journalists Association on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025) to introduce to the public an overall picture of Vietnam's revolutionary press that has grown continuously over the past 100 years and the maturity and outstanding achievements of Quang Ngai provincial press.

Nearly 200 selected images and documents, including many original documents, are displayed to help journalists, cadres, people and youth of Quang Ngai understand more deeply and have more pride in the history, tradition and glorious achievements of the Vietnamese revolutionary press and the revolutionary press of Quang Ngai province. Thereby expressing gratitude and respect for the great contributions of generations of journalists throughout history.

The layout and theme of the exhibition of 100 years of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism are associated with each historical period: From the time when leader Nguyen Ai Quoc used journalism as a sharp weapon of the proletariat to journalism in the period of 1925-1945; the period of 1945-1954; the period of 1954-1975; from 1975 to 2025. The achievements of Quang Ngai province's journalism are recreated through images, documents, and artifacts with the following themes: Milestones from 1927-2025; Imprints of Nui An Song Tra journalism; Land of love; Typical faces of journalism; Accompanying the homeland and country...

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial Journalists Association Tran Cao Tanh emphasized that the exhibition of images, documents and artifacts commemorating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's revolutionary press and the outstanding achievements of Quang Ngai provincial press is an important historical milestone.

Delegates listened to officials from the Vietnam Journalists Association Press Museum introduce the history of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism.

This is also an occasion to remind journalists and press agencies of a proud journey, but also a time when a new context appears. That is the fierce competition of all types of media and social networks, putting the press and journalists in unprecedented challenges, forcing the press to change, transform strongly and innovatively to maintain its position as the official and main information channel of the Party and State, truly a forum for the People to contribute to building the country and protecting the Fatherland.

According to Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial Journalists Association Tran Cao Tanh, in the present era, the press must do more to arouse and multiply the desire to contribute, contributing to creating spiritual and material resources for the country's development. The press not only reflects but also needs to strongly promote its proactiveness, ability to lead and orient public opinion, and improve the quality and value of information.

“The digital age requires the press and journalists to find solutions to improve storytelling skills, professional skills, and technological skills to move towards building a “Professional, humane, and modern” press and media industry in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress,” said Tran Cao Tanh, Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial Journalists Association.

On the same morning, the Quang Ngai Provincial Journalists Association held a conference to summarize 16 years of the Quang Ngai Provincial Press Awards, 18 years of participating in the National Press Awards and to implement the Quang Ngai Provincial Press Awards project (new).

Within the framework of organizing activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province organized a conference to evaluate the implementation results of the Project "Planning for development and management of the national press to 2025" in Quang Ngai province.
