The first performance on the evening of May 30, 2025 of the musical “Sans Famille” - adapted from the classic novel “Sans Famille” by French writer Hector Malot attracted a large number of young audiences in the capital. The creative team skillfully distilled the best of the original work to suit Vietnamese audiences.
For more than an hour, the young audience was delighted to enter the magical and compassionate world of adventure and love of the boy Remi since he was sold by his adoptive father to Vitalis' circus. The children attentively followed Remi's footsteps, witnessing him go through many hardships, poverty, and loss to grow up, mature, and finally find his biological parents. The interesting thing is that the creative team created a stage that was close and interactive with the children, so that a story that seemed to take place in faraway France became close and touching.
Director - Meritorious Artist Le Anh Tuyet, scriptwriter Bui Hong Que cleverly inserted interesting interactions for children into the play, such as letting them practice singing with Remi... The highlight of the musical is the stage under the hands of artist Dang Minh Tuan, sometimes splendid of luxurious Paris, sometimes poetic of the 19th century French countryside, sometimes majestic of French nature... The costumes are beautiful, carefully crafted. In addition, the interesting thing is that the music is creatively renewed from classical works, the Vietnamese lyrics are carefully crafted. The talented young cast is increasingly perfecting their acting, singing, and dancing skills at the same time...
Director - Meritorious Artist Le Anh Tuyet - who has a great passion for musical art, has affirmed herself with works that have been loved by a large audience in recent times: "Golden Flower Farm" (Gold Medal at the National Music and Dance Festival 2021), "Flock of Swans", "Then I Will Grow Up", "Bom's Dream"... For many years, she has cherished the passion of staging "No Family", wishing to bring the work that has inspired many generations of young readers to the musical stage.
“Sans Famille” is not just a play – but also a gentle but profound message to each of us: “No matter what life is like, as long as we don’t give up, we will always find the light”. The musical is a spiritual gift for the whole family this summer – where the values of love, willpower, compassion and the desire to love and belong will touch the hearts of every audience.
The play will be performed at the Youth Theater - No. 11 Ngo Thi Nham, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi , in many special performances on the occasion of Children's Day June 1 and summer 2025.
