Hanoi: Launching a propaganda campaign to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day

Regarding the content of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection, the Hanoi People's Committee and the City Police have issued a Plan to build the commemorative activities into a series of linked commemorative activities with a specific roadmap, including 7 regular activities and 15 monthly activities.

The propaganda peak will be carried out from July 15 to August 19, 2025, focusing on propagating activities to visit and pay tribute to veteran cadres and heroic martyrs; results of selection and awarding of competitions; city-level rallies and commemorative meetings; commemorative activities of the Ministry of Public Security taking place in the capital...

From August 20 to September 5, 2025, focus on promoting the beautiful imprints and images in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day, the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection, in conjunction with the implementation of the peak propaganda work to ensure security and order in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Regarding the propaganda orientation in the coming time, Major General Do Trieu Phong, Director of the Department of People's Public Security Communications (Ministry of Public Security) affirmed that Hanoi City Police has been proactive and active in propaganda activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day, the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection with rich and practical content and forms; spreading the beautiful image of the People's Public Security image of selflessly serving the country and the people.

Major General Do Trieu Phong suggested that the work of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection should be linked to the country's major anniversaries such as the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution in 1945 (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), and the 80th anniversary of the first General Election (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026); propaganda work should have a focus and key points linked to the activities of the Capital Public Security.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of Hanoi City Police, highly appreciated the coordination, support, encouragement and motivation of press agencies in performing the task of protecting political security and social order and safety in the capital.

Affirming that launching the propaganda peak is a special occasion to review the glorious 80-year tradition of the People's Public Security force in general and the Capital Public Security in particular, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung said that this will become a driving force to push the force to strive to excellently fulfill work targets, maintain political security, social order and safety, effectively serving the tasks of socio-economic development and foreign affairs in the capital and the country.

“From there, create a strong and positive change in the ideology, awareness, responsibility and actions of Party members, officers and soldiers of the City Police with new thinking, high political determination, drastic actions, exemplary leadership with concrete actions to focus on training ethics, working style, solidarity, innovation, discipline, responsibility for "forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people"; determined to build a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern Capital Police force, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new era", said Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung.

At the conference, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung informed that recently, the City Police have established and broken up a special case, arrested 7 subjects, and seized over 100 tons of fake modern medicine and functional foods nationwide. "Currently, the Economic Police Department - City Police is handling the case, the police agency continues to investigate and clarify the case," said Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung.
