Hanoi announces 143 retail drug points to serve people during Tet 2025

Specifically, there are a total of 143 drug retail points, including 41 pharmacies in hospitals under the Department of Health and 102 private pharmacies/drugstores in 30/30 districts, towns and cities.

The Hanoi Department of Health requires heads of medical examination and treatment facilities to be responsible for ensuring adequate supply of quality drugs to meet emergency, medical examination and treatment needs at the medical examination and treatment facility; assign specialized staff to be on duty 24/7; and not speculate or increase drug prices. Pharmacies and drug stores are not allowed to take advantage of people's high demand to increase prices.

Pharmaceutical businesses in the city must proactively plan to reserve and supply enough medicine to serve the medical examination and treatment needs of the people, ensure that they are ready to supply enough medicine according to the orders of medical examination and treatment facilities, do not speculate, and do not take advantage of the Tet holiday to increase drug prices. Businesses with a drug retail system must organize 24/7 drug sales locations during the Tet holidays and report the list to the Hanoi Department of Health for publication in the mass media.

The District/City Health Department shall preside over/coordinate with relevant units to strengthen the inspection and examination of the implementation of professional regulations on pharmaceuticals, regulations on drug and cosmetic trading with business establishments in the area. Special attention should be paid to detecting counterfeit drugs, poor quality drugs, drugs not permitted for circulation; acts of hoarding, price hikes, etc. and strictly handling detected cases.
