Hanoi stops fireworks display at Autumn Fair to share with Central region

According to the plan, at the closing ceremony of the Autumn Fair at 9 p.m. on November 4, there will be a high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks display. However, to share with the Central provinces affected by the prolonged floods, the Hanoi People's Committee has proposed to stop the fireworks display at the closing ceremony.

On October 31, the Hanoi People's Committee sent a document to the Steering Committee of the 1st Autumn Fair - 2025 requesting to stop organizing fireworks displays at the closing ceremony of the 1st Autumn Fair on the evening of November 4.

Previously, the City People's Committee issued a document on organizing fireworks displays at the Closing Ceremony of the Autumn Fair in 2025 according to the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the plan of Vingroup Corporation. The planned high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays will take place after 9:00 p.m. on November 4 at the Vietnam National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh commune, Hanoi).

Sharing the pain of the Central region suffering from floods, Hanoi has proposed to stop fireworks displays.

However, at present, the Central provinces are being severely affected by prolonged floods, causing serious damage to people, property and infrastructure. In the spirit of sharing and accompanying people in disaster-hit areas, the City People's Committee has proposed to stop organizing fireworks displays at the closing ceremony.

The first Autumn Fair took place from October 25 to November 4 at the National Exhibition and Fair Center with the theme "Connecting people with production and business".

The fair takes place on a total exhibition area of ​​over 130,000m2, including 5 thematic zones and over 3,000 booths with the participation of 34 provinces, cities, ministries, branches, and thousands of enterprises and cooperatives; at the same time, attracting a large number of international partners and enterprises to exhibit, trade and seek cooperation opportunities. It is expected that the fair will welcome an average of about 500,000 visitors/day.
