Hanoi: Chaos at commune headquarters due to illegal house construction being handled

On April 30, Hanoi City Police said that the Investigation Police Agency of Phu Xuyen District Police had prosecuted and temporarily detained Nguyen Thi Hong (53 years old) and Nguyen Ngoc Tuan (49 years old) for disturbing public order.

According to the authorities, Hong and Tuan purchased small, scattered agricultural land in Minh Tan commune, Phu Xuyen district. Afterwards, the two suspects changed the land use purpose and built temporary houses on these plots of land.

When the authorities discovered the violation and asked them to dismantle it, both of them did not comply but instead insulted and opposed the officials at the Minh Tan Commune People's Committee headquarters, affecting political security and social order and safety.
