(Dan Tri) - The Astronomy Park (Ha Dong district, Hanoi ) is the first park in Southeast Asia with an astronomy theme, and has opened after 4 years of abandonment.
The Astronomy Park is located in Duong Noi Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi, with a total investment of about 260 billion VND, starting construction in 2017 and completed in the first quarter of 2020. The park is built on an area of over 12 hectares, expected to be an architectural highlight of the landscape in Duong Noi urban area. However, after completion, the park was abandoned for 4 years and was only put into use in early February. The security guard here said that the park has officially opened for about 10 days now. Since its opening, in the morning and afternoon, the park has welcomed a lot of people coming to play and exercise. The park was built with the theme of astronomy for research and entertainment, with an area almost equal to the Kazan Planetarium (Russia) - known as the world 's first astronomy park.
The focal point of the Astronomy Park is the 6-hectare Bach Hop Thuy Lake. This is the first outdoor park in Southeast Asia with an astronomy theme, attracting public attention with its green space and beautiful architecture. The park has many items with astronomy themes such as Bigbang Square, Black Hole Pool, Light Fountain, UFO Zone... The park has 4 entrances corresponding to 4 squares.
The park also has a garden of celebrities, where statues of famous scientists such as Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, ... and mythical characters associated with astronomy such as Atlas carrying the earth are erected. "The park was completed a long time ago, but this is the first time my family has come here for a walk. Walking around, I found that the park has many special things that other places do not have. Especially the playground for children", Mr. Hoang Xuan Huy (41 years old, resident of Mo Lao ward, Ha Dong district) shared.
According to Dan Tri reporters on the afternoon of February 17, the UFO Zone attracted hundreds of children to play. This is also a playground for children with a terrain structure simulating a "space grid" with convex and concave areas similar to geological formations on the surface of planets such as the Moon, Mars, etc. Children line up to participate in games such as tube slides, ziplines, white sand baths, etc. These playgrounds are completely free.
Many children are very excited about the games in the park. Models simulating the earth, stars, the sun, etc. attract many children and people to visit and take pictures. With beautiful design and space, interesting and useful themed items, the Astronomy Park promises to be a unique experience for the capital's residents.
