The four students who passed the valedictorian exam in class 9A are: Ha Manh Hung - the only student in Hanoi who passed the double valedictorian exam in Math at the Pedagogical High School and Math at the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted; Nguyen Tuan Anh, valedictorian of English at the Pedagogical High School for the Gifted; Vu Nguyen Nguyen, valedictorian of Physics at the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, and Nguyen Hoang Minh Quan, valedictorian of the 10th grade public school in Hanoi with a score of 48.5/50 points.

Last school year, double valedictorian Ha Manh Hung also won the first prize in the Hanoi City Math competition; valedictorian Nguyen Tuan Anh won the first prize in the Hanoi City English competition and valedictorian Vu Nguyen Nguyen won the second prize in the Hanoi City Physics competition.

Sharing about the "double" valedictorian Ha Manh Hung, Mr. Cao Van Dung - homeroom teacher of class 9A said, Ha Manh Hung is a student "born to conquer the heights of Math".

Mr. Dung confided that Manh Hung always maintained his form in exams. "This requires students to not only be fully equipped with knowledge but also have a "steel" spirit, a determined will and a steadfast character. Ha Manh Hung possesses all of these qualities and what he has achieved is not surprising. He is completely worthy," said Mr. Dung.

According to Mr. Dung, in addition to Ha Manh Hung's innate intelligence, his diligence and hard work always make his classmates admire him. A 9A student said that when he was in grade 7 and 8, Hung tried to find solutions to math problems in grade 9 and 10. Ha Manh Hung's ability to self-study always helped him conquer very difficult math problems. Once, in a team study session, Hung had such a beautiful and creative math solution that the team teacher took Hung's solution as the "answer".

In addition to being good at Math, Hung also passed the entrance exam to the 10th grade Physics major at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. Hung studied all subjects equally, his average score in class was 9.7.

Regarding the valedictorian of English at the Pedagogical College, Nguyen Tuan Anh, teacher Cao Van Dung commented that Tuan Anh excelled in Math. He was selected for both Math and English teams, but Tuan Anh chose to compete in English and won first prize in the city last school year (in 8th grade, Tuan Anh won second prize in the city-level English competition).

"Tuan Anh is intelligent and talented, but he is also extremely hard-working and studies diligently. During peak review times, Tuan Anh studies until 2 or 3 in the morning. He is good at all subjects and has an average score of 9.7 in grade 9. His classmates in class 9A were very happy when Tuan Anh became valedictorian, but they were not too surprised by his achievements," said teacher Cao Van Dung.

Vu Nguyen Nguyen passed the entrance exam for Physics at 3 specialized schools, in which she was the valedictorian of the Physics major at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. In the teachers' perception, Nguyen Nguyen is a good, intelligent student, sociable with friends and is loved by her classmates. In her studies, the female student is always serious, diligent in studying math problems in class, self-studying and having the spirit of learning from friends. Nguyen Nguyen also always presents scientific and clear lessons, so she rarely gets points deducted.

In addition to her passion for Physics, Nguyen Nguyen is also very good at other subjects such as Math and IT. In grade 8, Nguyen Nguyen participated and won the district-level excellent student award in IT for grade 9. The homeroom teacher once told Nguyen Nguyen that she would definitely pass the specialized Math exam, but she decided to major in Physics. And she has achieved many high results in Physics such as the second prize for excellent Physics students in grade 9 in Hanoi.

Nguyen Hoang Minh Quan, surpassed more than 100,000 students in the fierce 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi this year to win the title of valedictorian with a score of 48.5/50, in which he scored 9.25 in Literature, 10 in Math and 10 in English. Previously, Quan was admitted to the English specialized class of the Foreign Language Specialized High School, and the IT specialized class of the Pedagogical and Natural Science Specialized High School. In both 8th and 9th grade, Minh Quan won second prize in the city-level IT competition for excellent students.

According to his teachers, Minh Quan is a hard-working and modest boy. No matter how difficult the lesson is, he tries his best to solve it. He is good at all subjects, but his classmates were quite surprised and happy when Minh Quan excelled in Literature with a score of 9.25. This clearly shows his comprehensive learning.

A talented generation of students, mature in both ability and will.

Previously, in the 2024 city-level cultural subject exam for excellent 9th grade students, class 9A also won 6 first prizes in Math, 3 first prizes in English, 2 first prizes in Physics and 1 first prize in Chemistry.

To have a class with such outstanding achievements, according to the parents, the students were lucky to have an "ideal" class and a homeroom teacher named Cao Van Dung who was extremely dedicated and always treated the students as his "children". He inspired and transmitted passion for learning to the students.

A parent of class 9A shared that she was deeply moved by Mr. Cao Van Dung's dedication and love for his students, especially in training them.

“Many late nights, I still see the teacher posting good and difficult math problems for the children along with words of encouragement. During peak periods of reviewing for national team exams or professional exams, the teacher is always close, encouraging, and helping students reduce stress. In each of his lessons, the children always feel happy, the teacher and students are close, so the students are more inspired to learn difficult math problems,” said a parent of Grade 9A.

Mr. Cao Van Dung shared that he always kept in mind that what he did was simply to equip students with the necessary qualities to become future talents - that is, seriousness, curiosity, diligence and enthusiasm. And the students did not let down their teachers and parents, those wonderful qualities of theirs were maximized, shining proudly in his teaching career at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

“We have experienced together happy, innocent moments and many student memories with 9A. I truly appreciate and am grateful for everyone's support, but I must also admit that that love is sometimes a pressure, an invisible pressure that makes us teachers and students sometimes have to strain ourselves like a string. I often joke with my students: "The hardest thing is not the difficult math problems, but how to make famous people take the exam to have the mentality of ordinary people", Mr. Cao Van Dung confided.

The teacher also confided that the most profound memories were the times when teachers and students sat together, encouraging each other to overcome the pressure before each exam.

"On the day the students received their results, they told me very simply: 'Teacher, I thank you and I also thank you for the pressure.' I am really proud, not only because of the achievements, but also because a whole generation of talented students have truly matured, both in ability and will," Mr. Dung said emotionally.
