Hanoi stabilizes primary school enrollment amid new government apparatus

GD&TĐ - Admissions to primary schools in Hanoi have been smooth and stable, despite changes in administrative units and educational management structures.

Today (July 1), along with the official operation of the two-level local government apparatus, public primary schools in Hanoi simultaneously implemented online enrollment for grade 1 for the 2025-2026 school year.

At some primary schools in the city, from 8am, the schools are open, ready to welcome and support parents of students coming to school to register for admission.

Ms. Tran Thi Bich Lien - Principal of Tan Mai Primary School (Tuong Mai Ward, Hanoi) said: Implementing the plan and instructions of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the school has established an Admissions Committee and fully prepared facilities and equipment for admission work.

To create maximum convenience for parents, the school organizes online registration support for 3 days from July 1 to July 3 at the school for parents who have difficulty in the online registration process and arranges 3 admission rooms with the Board of Directors and teachers on duty ready to guide and answer parents' questions about the admission process.

On the first day, the enrollment process went smoothly and according to procedure. The school received many applications and is working hard to support parents in completing the procedures quickly and effectively.

Along with the operation of the new government apparatus, a series of schools also changed administrative units. However, the enrollment work at the beginning of the school year in Hanoi city is still stable, without any disruption.

Parents are given maximum support when coming to school to register for admission.

Ms. Tran Thuy Hoa - Principal of Khuong Thuong Primary School (Kim Lien Ward, Hanoi), said: To prepare for enrollment, right after the end of the 2024-2025 school year, the school organized widespread propaganda to local people about the enrollment plan according to requirements.

Before the official enrollment day, the school tested the online enrollment system to help parents get familiar with the enrollment process. The school arranged a duty room with computers connected to the internet, printers, and a team of teachers who are good at information technology, ready to support parents when they come to register for enrollment.

Ms. Hoa affirmed that the changes in the government apparatus do not affect the school's enrollment plan. The school still organizes enrollment according to the city's general schedule, enrolling according to the pre-determined routes, including online enrollment from July 1 to July 3.

Ms. Trinh Thi Chung Thuy - Principal of Nam Trung Yen Primary School (Yen Hoa Ward, Hanoi) said that this morning, the Admissions Committee enthusiastically welcomed, advised, and guided parents to complete the online enrollment registration procedure. The school publicly enrolls students via an online link and is always ready to support and answer questions at the admissions office.

Affirming the stability of the enrollment work for the 2025-2026 school year, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said: Although the local government apparatus has officially switched to the new model, the capital'seducation sector still maintains all plans, times, methods and enrollment regulations, not allowing any disruptions that cause difficulties for parents and students.
