An impressive school year
Despite the socio -economic difficulties of a mountainous province, Tuyen Quang has achieved many remarkable successes. The provincial education sector has effectively reorganized and streamlined the system of schools and school locations to suit the actual conditions, while expanding the scale and gradually improving the quality of the system of boarding and semi-boarding schools for ethnic minorities. After the merger, the whole province now has 1,100 educational establishments and schools, with the rate of schools meeting national standards at level 1 or higher reaching 64.71%. The rate of solid classrooms has also increased, showing a deep concern for improving teaching and learning conditions.

In particular, the quality of key education has created bright spots. In the 2025 National High School Excellent Student Competition, Tuyen Quang province was honored to have 74 winners. Notably, the province has had its project selected by the Ministry of Education and Training for two consecutive times to participate in the International Science and Technology Competition held in the United States.
This is not only the pride of the industry but also an affirmation of the quality of training and scientific research capacity of students in the revolutionary land. Along with that, the rate of mobilizing children to go to kindergarten has increased, exceeding the national average, showing the effectiveness of solutions to develop preschool education.

In addition to professional achievements, the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program has achieved many positive results. The staff and teachers continue to receive attention for development, improving their qualifications, expertise and professionalism. Digital transformation, administrative reform and communication are also promoted, creating a more modern and professional management appearance for the entire industry.
However, in the summary conference, delegates also frankly acknowledged the difficulties and shortcomings that still hinder the development of the industry. The biggest challenge now is the physical facilities. Although the rate of solid classrooms has increased, it is still lower than the national average. Physical facilities and teaching equipment in many places are still limited and not uniform.
The second problem is the shortage of teachers. Teachers at all levels are still lacking compared to the assigned number and the prescribed standards of the Ministry of Education and Training, creating great pressure on the existing staff. Finally, the quality of mass education in some ethnic minority, mountainous and border areas still has a large gap, requiring specific solutions to narrow it.
Student-centered
Faced with these challenges, Tuyen Quang has clearly identified key goals and tasks for the 2025-2030 period with strategic orientation, demonstrating a strong determination to transform.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairwoman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, Ms. Vuong Ngoc Ha, emphasized: The 2025-2026 school year is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress (term 2025-2030), which is of key significance. The education sector must thoroughly grasp the leadership of the Party and State, considering education and training as the "top national policy".

The core objective of this phase is to strongly innovate the thinking of management and development of education and training, giving top priority to human development strategy, creating momentum for socio-economic growth. Education innovation must take students as the root, aiming at comprehensive development of learners' capacity and qualities.
Specific targets by 2030 include: Over 73% of kindergartens and over 80% of general schools meet national standards; 100% of solid classrooms; 100% of staff and teachers proficiently apply information technology and effectively exploit modern teaching equipment; Striving for Tuyen Quang to be among the 25-30 provinces and cities with strong educational development in the country.

To achieve these ambitious goals, Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha has requested the Education sector and relevant levels and sectors to focus on many synchronous solutions.
Firstly, continue to review, adjust, supplement and perfect mechanisms and policies on education and training under authority for effective implementation.
Second, improve the effectiveness of state management and school governance in the direction of increasing autonomy, enhancing accountability, and promoting democracy in educational institutions. The education sector needs to actively coordinate with localities to review, adjust, and supplement network planning, and arrange schools, school locations, and classrooms to ensure compactness and suitability to the characteristics of each region.

Third, focus on building and developing the team. The team of teachers and educational administrators at all levels must be truly exemplary, a shining example for students to follow. Strengthen professional training, improve capacity, sense of responsibility, and professional ethics, to meet the requirements of innovation.
Fourth, focus on developing education associated with culture and tradition; proactively integrating and updating the quintessence of humanity and especially taking advantage of scientific and technological achievements, especially digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to serve teaching and learning.

Fifth, in terms of resources, it is necessary to increase investment associated with improving management and usage efficiency; at the same time, mobilize socialized resources and public-private partnership to expand creative space and develop sustainable education.
The leaders of Tuyen Quang province also expressed their sympathy with schools, teachers and students in the province who suffered losses in the recent floods and requested localities and the education sector to urgently implement remedial measures and care for those affected to ensure teaching and learning plans in the new school year.
On this occasion, 8 collectives and 21 individuals in the Tuyen Quang Education sector received Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training; 4 collectives received Emulation Flags from the Provincial People's Committee; 7 collectives received the Title of "Excellent Labor Collective"; 7 collectives and 60 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the 2024-2025 school year.
