Hanoi regulates traffic during the April 30 - May 1 holidays

In order to limit traffic congestion on roads entering and leaving the city during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, the Hanoi Department of Construction has just announced traffic flow instructions.

Vehicles from Hanoi to the southern provinces can follow the following directions: Hanoi center goes to Phap Van - Cau Gie intersection to Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway; Hanoi center goes to old National Highway 1 in the direction of Giai Phong - Ngoc Hoi - National Highway 1 to Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway at Van Diem intersection or Dai Xuyen intersection (Phu Xuyen district).

Vehicles can follow National Highway 6 (Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu - Quang Trung axis) - Ba La intersection, take Road 21B - National Highway 38 to reach the old National Highway 1 (Dong Van intersection), or go to Vuc Vong intersection to go to Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway.

Another way is to take National Highway 6 (Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu - Quang Trung axis) - turn left onto Phung Hung Street to the Southern axis, turn left onto Provincial Road 427B to Thuong Tin station to enter Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway.

From Highway 6, take the vehicle to Xuan Mai town - Ho Chi Minh road - road 21B.

Vehicles from the South going to Hanoi can follow the following directions: At the Liem Tuyen intersection on the Phap Van - Cau Gie highway, take Provincial Road 494 - National Highway 21B - National Highway 6 (Ba La intersection, Ha Dong).

At the Vuc Vong intersection on the Phap Van - Cau Gie highway, vehicles go in two directions: Turn left to go to National Highway 38 - National Highway 21B - National Highway 6 (Ba La intersection, Ha Dong); or turn right to go to National Highway 38 - cross Yen Lenh bridge - National Highway 39A - Provincial Road 379 - intersection with Ring Road 3 (Thanh Tri bridge).

At Van Diem intersection, vehicles turn left onto National Highway 1 - Provincial Road 429 - National Highway 21B - National Highway 6 (Ba La intersection, Ha Dong).

At Thuong Tin intersection, vehicles take provincial road 427 - to the southern axis road - Phung Hung street (Ha Dong).

Vehicles from Hanoi to the Northeastern provinces (Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Lang Son...) and vice versa can go in the following directions: Ring Road 3 - Thanh Tri Bridge - Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway; or Nhat Tan Bridge - Vo Nguyen Giap - National Highway 18 to Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway.

From Chuong Duong bridge, vehicles go to Nguyen Van Cu - Ha Huy Tap - Ngo Gia Tu - Duong bridge - take Hanoi - Bac Giang highway.

Vehicles from Hanoi to the Northwestern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Yen Bai...) and vice versa can follow the following directions: Thang Long Bridge - Vo Van Kiet - National Highway 2 to Hanoi - Lao Cai Expressway; Thang Long Bridge - Provincial Road 23 - Me Linh Road to National Highway 2 or Thang Long Bridge - Nam Hong Overpass - Road 23 - National Highway 2 - Provincial Road 310B to Hanoi - Lao Cai Expressway.

Vehicles can follow National Highway 3 - Provincial Road 296 - to Hanoi - Lao Cai Expressway, or National Highway 32 to Phu Tho.

Directions from Hanoi to the northern provinces (Hoa Binh, Son La...) and vice versa are as follows: Thang Long Avenue - Tan Linh Road - Yen Bai - Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh Expressway; National Highway 6 - Xuan Mai Town - Hoa Binh.

Vehicles from Hanoi to the Eastern provinces (Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Hai Duong...) and vice versa can follow the following directions: Co Linh Road - Co Linh Road Ring Road 3 intersection - Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway; or Provincial Road 379 to Hung Yen, Hai Phong; or old National Highway 5 (Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Duc Thuan) to Hai Duong.

Vehicles can also go up Thanh Tri bridge - Hanoi - Bac Giang highway - go to national highway 18.

Also during the holiday, Hanoi will temporarily suspend road and sidewalk excavation works in the area from April 29 to May 5, except for some emergency incident handling works and key works licensed by the City People's Committee and the Department of Construction.

On the occasion of April 30 and May 1 this year, workers nationwide will have 5 consecutive days off, from Wednesday (April 30) to Sunday (May 4) and will have to work on Saturday (April 26) to make up for it.
