Cricket from the book page to the big screen

The story in the film opens with the new journey of the Cricket brothers - led by Dragonfly to a strange place in the insect world, where the great Frog King reigns.

At first, this place appears friendly, vibrant, with creative architecture. However, the deeper the characters go, the darker plots are revealed behind the flashy exterior.

The teaser has a series of exciting scenes: from breathtaking chases, eye-catching martial arts matches, to unexpected twists when the villains are revealed and the battle between good and evil gradually intensifies.

Compared to the classic literary work of writer To Hoai, the film not only recreates familiar characters such as De Men, De Trui, Tong Coc or the great king Ech Com, but also creates a completely new world.

Many new supporting characters such as: Whiskers, Baby Ladybug... contribute to enriching the insect world and expanding the content ecosystem.

One thing in common is that insects have anthropomorphic characteristics, expressing personalities, lifestyles and cultures close to modern society.

The crew also revealed an interesting detail, the image of the “Knife and Fork Throne” of King Ech Com – a humorous metaphor inspired by the Iron Throne in Game of Thrones. The action scenes have a superhero color, reminiscent of the Marvel style but still retain their own identity thanks to the eye-catching visuals and trendy music.

According to director Mai Phuong, although coming from the pages of a book, the characters and stories are very close to today's life. In particular, the image of Xom Lay Loi appears both strange and familiar, reflecting the rich imagination and meticulous investment of the film crew.
